Life can seem overwhelming at times, where we can feel alone, confused, frightened or misunderstood. Sometimes we can feel anxious, depressed, unhappy or dissatisfied yet not know why. Often people find it difficult to talk to friends or family and many find it easier to talk about personal issues with someone independent who is accepting and non-judgemental.
At our initial consultation we will meet together and you have the opportunity to decide whether I am the right therapist for you. This is really important because you need to feel comfortable working with me as time and again, the quality of the therapeutic relationship is shown to be a major factor when effecting positive change.
Counselling is a partnership whereby you and I will look at what has brought you to therapy and will involve us both working collaboratively together to find the most effective way of resolving your issue and establishing positive coping strategies.
I will provide a safe, confidential and private space for this to take place.
Sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly at the same time, and last 1 hour
